The problem
I needed one central place for my projects, services, tutoring and the live apps I host — fast, bilingual and easy to maintain.
The solution
A static site generated with Astro: Romanian at the root, English under /en/, build-time translation dictionary, no-flash light/dark theme, self-hosted fonts. Interactivity (mobile menu, filters, theme toggle) is isolated in Svelte islands. Deployed automatically via Gitea Runners → Docker → Caddy.
The outcome
The site you are reading right now: 100% static, tracking-free, with near-perfect Lighthouse scores.
